SUSTAINABILITY IN THE NAME OF ART
Color turns into motion for a more sustainable city: artColorBike is a project that envisions art as a social tool to promote effective collaboration between public institutions and private companies who look together to the future of the planet, support the environment, and encourage responsible consumption and sustainable mobility.
The project, conceived by Contexto – a communication agency/publisher based in Milan – has been realized with the collaboration of the Municipality of Milan and Brera Fine Arts Academy, and with the contribution of Oikos – colour and matter for architecture –. It involves the making and the exhibition of twelve works of art/installations, designed by as many young and talented art students chosen by the Academy, who expressed themselves with an ‘alternative’ but meaningful material: a bike. The traveling exhibition will open at Palazzo Moriggia in Milan on April 17th, 2018.
